Data Setup
The Data Setup section is located under Utilities and is separated into the following sections:

General Notice Setup
This section contains the following menu items:

Freeform Titles

Add freeform titles to create a pick list of titles to appear on freeform notices.

Facsimile Signatures

Add facsimile signatures to create a pick list of electronic signatures of persons authorized to sign notices.

Consumer Reporting Agency

Add any consumer reporting agency from which information is obtained that might influence the underwriting decision regarding the issuance of a notice. For example information obtained from a Credit Bureau or information relating to driving records.

Invalid Mailing Date Rules

Add any rules that are a company's preference for invalid mailing dates that are not addressed by state statutes, or ODEN rules. For example, if a company only mails notices on Tuesdays and Thursdays they would add invalid mailing date rules for Monday, Wednesday and Friday.

Underwriters

Add company underwriters to create a pick list of underwriters for selection during the notice generation process.
Note: This information does not appear anywhere on the notice, but is available for reporting purposes.

General Policy Setup
This section contains the following menu items:

Producers

Add producers to create a pick list of company producers.
Note: Producer information is required in order to create a notice.

Branches

Add company branch locations to create a pick list of company branches.
Note: Branch information is required in order to create a notice.

Policies Written 2%

Add rating territories if tracking 2% rule in required states (NY, NJ and HI).
Edit User Defined Fields. Defined in Security.

Personal/Commercial Lines Data Setup
This section contains the following menu items:

Policy Types

Rename policy types to create a company customized Print Title for an ODEN® predefined policy type. For example, Automobile Liability and Physical Damage policy type could be renamed by assigning it a Print Title of 'Family Auto'. This Print Title would then be seen in the policy types pick list, and if selected, this Title would print on the notice.
Note: If a policy type is renamed then the new Print Title appears in the picklist and the predefined policy type named by ODEN® is no longer seen. The Print Title is what displays in the picklist on the Policy Information page when choosing a policy type.

Add policy types to create multiple print titles for an ODEN® predefined policy type. For example, Automobile Liability and Physical Damage policy type could be renamed as 'Family Auto' and then Automobile Liability and Physical Damage could be added with a second title of 'Preferred Driver Policy'. Both Print Titles would then be seen in the policy types pick list as well as the original Auto Liability and Physical Damage.

Delete a policy type to remove ODEN® predefined policy types from the policy type pick list. Deleting a predefined policy type is recommended only if your company does not write a specific type of policy.
Note: To reinstate a previously deleted ODEN® policy type, simply add the policy type and assign it a proper print title.

Mortgagee Lienholder

Add Mortgagee-Lienholders (this includes Loss Payees and/or Lessors) to create a pick list of frequently used mortgagees or lien holders. This pick list appears on the Additional Interest page when the Interest Type is set to Mortgagee-Lienholder.

Custom Reasons

Add Custom Reasons to create a pick list of specific wording to be used as the 'reason' for a notice. Creating Custom Reasons eliminates the re-keying of information that is frequently used. For Frequently Asked Questions on Custom Reasons for Nonpayment, click here.

Custom Advance Days

Add Custom Advance Days rules for company preferences that are not addressed by state statute or pre-filled by ODEN®. For example ODEN® has NOT pre-filled advance days notice for the policy types of Workers' Compensation, Excess Workers' Compensation, Motor Carrier Liability and Motor Cargo. Advance days for these policy types can be added in Custom Advance Days.

User Defined Warnings

Add User Defined Warings that will be displayed during the Notice Generation process if certain notice criteria are met.

Custom Pop-up Responses

Add Custom Pop-up Responses to create a pick list of specific wording to be used as the response for text Pop-up Questions. Creating Custom Pop-up Responses eliminates the re-keying of information that is frequently used.
