Notice Type Selection
The Notice Type Selection page displays a menu
of different applicable notice types. Listed below are the following
notice types and a description of each:
Non Renewal - Termination of policy on
the renewal date. Company refuses to renew coverage.
Conditional Renewal - Company will offer to renew a policy based
on certain conditions. Insured must agree to comply with conditions so
company will renew the policy.
Cancellation - Termination of the policy mid-term. Cancellation
occurs sometime between the inception and expiration dates of the policy.
Reasons for cancellation vary from state to state. Underwriting Periods
are applicable ONLY for cancellation notices.
Reinstatement - Cancellation notice has been issued and company
wishes to reinstate the policy or rescind the cancellation.
Policy Change - A change or endorsement has been issued on the
policy which requires notification to the insured. Used as a "courtesy
notice" in most states.
Renewal Premium - Notice to insured that renewal will be offered
and for what premium amount. Usually a "courtesy notice" in
most states.
Freeform - Customers use a free form to rescind a nonrenewal notice;
to attach loss information; to write a letter when companies have merged,
etc. It is a "free form". They will have a reason box in which
to write any information that want to send to an insured and they can
title the free form notice. Click here

Refusal to Write - Company refuses to issue a policy. Notice is
available ONLY when a policy number has NOT been issued. This is used
as a "Courtesy notice" in most states. Click here

Note: A Refusal to Write Notice only shows up when
the Policy Number field is left blank.
Some notice types are not required by the state
and are considered to be a courtesy notice. The following message
displays if you select a notice type that is considered a courtesy notice.
