User Type Rights
A "right" is defined as the user's ability to perform a defined function. Each function may be assigned up to four rights (create, read, update or delete) for either personal lines, commercial lines or universally. Universally means that the function does not explicitly apply to either commercial or personal. Universal rights are mutually exclusive of personal and commercial rights.

Each user type, whether User defined or ODEN® defined is composed of a series of rights. Each right defines at what level the user may perform a particular function. For additional information about WebPT security see Security Overview.

Universal Rights

Personal Rights are applicable to personal lines of business.
Commercial Rights are applicable to commercial lines of business.
Universal Rights that do not explicitly apply to either the commercial of personal side. Universal rights are mutually exclusive of personal and commercial rights.

Create - Allows a user to create records for a specified function. Usually this right enables the Add menu option.

Read - Allows user to read records for a specified function.

Update - Allows user to update/modify existing records for a specified function.

Delete - Allows user to delete existing records for a specified function. This enables the Delete menu option.


User Type Rights
The User Type Rights section contains the following fields:

To activate a function for a user, select the appropriate box.

Note: Update rights must accompany Create rights.

Policy Information Enables either the Personal or Commercial Lines menu option on the Main menu.        
 Additional Interest Setup Displays the Add Additional Interest button on the Policy Edit page.        
 Notes for a Notice Displays the Notes icon in the history section of the Read Only mode of the Policy Edit page.        
 UDF Access Enables editing of the User Defined Fields (UDF) on the Policy Edit page. One must assign a label to UDF in order for it to be displayed on the policy page.        
Suppress View of Calulator date Disables the viewing of the date calculator during notice generation.        
Suppress Data Fetch Disables the data fetch button(if data fetch is configured) on the policy edit screen.        
Create Notice Enables the Create Notice menu option of the Policy Edit menu on the Notice Type Selection menu.        
 NonRenewal Enables the Non Renewal Notice menu option of the Notice Type Selection menu.        
 Conditional Renewal Enables the Conditional Renewal Notice menu option on the Notice Type Selection Menu.        
 Cancellation Enables the Cancellation Notice menu option on the Notice Type Selection menu.        
 Policy Change Enables the Policy Change Notice menu option on the Notice Type Selection menu.        
 Renewal Premium Enables the Renewal Premium Notice menu option on the Notice Type Selection menu.        
 Refusal to Write Enables the Refusal to Write Notice menu option on the Notice Type Selection menu.        
 Reinstatement Enables the Reinstatement Notice menu option on the Notice Type Selection menu.        
 Freeform Enables the Freeform Notice menu option on the Notice Type Selection menu.        
 Printing Suspension Enables the Suspend Printing radio button option on the Notice Print Options page of Notice Generation.        
 Copy & CC List Options Enables the editing of the Copy & CC List checkbox options on the Notice Print Options page of Notice Generation. If not selected the system defaults are used.

  General Policy Setup Enables the General Policy Setup on the Data Setup menu.        
   UDF Labels Enables the User Defined Fields menu option on the General Policy menu.        
   Branches Setup Enables the Branches menu option on the General Policy menu.        
   Policies Written - 2%    Table Enables the Policies Written - 2% Rule menu option on the General Policy menu.        
   Producers Setup Enables the Producers menu option on the General Policy menu.        
  Commercial Lines   Setup Enables the Commercial Lines Setup menu option on the Data Setup menu.        
   Custom Policy Setup Enables the Policy Types menu option on the Commercial Lines menu.        
   Custom Reasons    Setup Enables the Custom Reasons menu option on the Commercial Lines menu.        
   Mort/Lien Pick List    Setup Enables the Mortgagee/Lienholder menu option on the Commercial Lines menu.
